About

A Life with Music

Music has always been a way of discovering something deeper about the human experience. The greatest music reaches beyond notes and technique; it reveals something about who we are and how we experience the world.
My own musical journey began with jazz and the American songbook. That music taught me to listen closely and appreciate the connection between sound and expression. Through my later study of classical piano, I developed a deeper understanding of musical structure and interpretation.
These experiences continue to shape the way I approach music. Whether teaching a student or preparing a performance, my goal is to listen carefully, understand what the music is saying, and share what makes it meaningful.
Teaching and Performance
Teaching has been an important part of my life for many years. After nearly fifteen years in the classroom, I bring that experience to my work as a piano teacher, helping students understand and play the piano.
Through the piano studio, I help students develop their skills and confidence at the piano. Through performance, I continue exploring and sharing the music that inspires me.
